Vector-clock causal relations
ClockMoraine is a Windows workspace for AI-assisted reasoning about vector clocks. Open the relevant project files and challenge a compatible model’s event-order examples before applying its edits.
def clock_relation(a, b):

- Connection
- Base URL, credentials and a reachable server.
- Project
- Treat missing entries as zero and test equal, earlier, later and concurrent events, rejecting Boolean counters or invalid keys without mutating either map.
- Review before applying
- Compare actual behavior with the expected result. If a check fails, investigate it before applying more changes.

Keep concurrent histories distinct from earlier and later ones
An application that compares event histories needs to know when the available evidence does not establish a single order. ClockMoraine is a Windows AI coding workspace for examining that decision in your project. Bring two representative histories and the behavior your application should choose. Ask the assistant to inspect the comparison code and the branch that acts on its result before requesting a correction.
The vector-clock example is one possible task to develop. You could review how equal, earlier, later and concurrent histories are represented, including the convention for missing entries. Follow those results into the caller: an unresolved relationship should not silently become a confirmed order. Discuss malformed input separately from valid concurrency so the proposed change preserves the distinctions the application needs.
An uncensored AI model can be selected where your supported OpenAI-compatible or Anthropic endpoint offers one. Add credentials when necessary; context capacity, tools and restrictions depend on the model and server. Review the proposed branch changes and run paired-history cases through the application. Using a separately running local model server does not make external tools local or supply a distributed test environment.
Questions about history comparison
What should I include in a concurrency bug report?
Provide the two histories, the returned relation and the action the application took. State the expected relation and action separately. This helps identify whether comparison logic is wrong or the caller mishandles a correct concurrent result.
Can a concurrent result be treated as a timestamp tie?
Do not assume those meanings are interchangeable. Explain what the application needs to do when histories cannot be ordered by the chosen comparison. Review that branch explicitly instead of allowing it to fall through an equality or default path.
Why specify how missing history entries are interpreted?
A missing entry can affect the comparison even when every present value is valid. Inspect the implementation's convention and verify that producers and consumers agree. Include incomplete maps in tests if the input contract allows them.
Does ClockMoraine reproduce a distributed deployment?
No such environment is implied. Use the workspace to inspect and develop comparison code, then run appropriate project tests. Small history pairs can verify branch behavior, while deployment-specific claims require evidence from the actual system and its configuration.
